This Girl Can!

          A neurodiversity-affirming suite of supports for girls with autism, offering a range of weekly group sessions, therapeutic programs, and mentoring supports. All programs are strengths-based and designed to support emotional regulation, social connection, anxiety, confidence, and identity development, while reducing pressure to mask or change.

This Girl Can- Therapeutic Group 

This Girl Can ic is a 6-week therapeutic neurodiversity affirming group program (10 participants max) designed for girls aged 8-13 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ran by a Social Worker utilising evidence-based therapeutic strategies. 

 

The program aims to build emotional regulation, social skills, self awareness, reduce masking, and promote confidence and self acceptance. It also provides gentle, practical support for managing anxiety, helping participants understand their anxious feelings and develop calming strategies in a safe, supportive environment.

This Girl Can- Weekly Hangout Sessions (6-weeks)

This Girl Can is a weekly, term-time group program for girls with autism (aged 8-13 years) to build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging in a supportive, understanding environment, ran by an experienced Social Worker.

Designed for girls who may find mainstream community activities challenging, this neurodiversity-affirming program offers a small group setting (maximum 12 participants) where girls can be themselves, connect with peers, and engage at their own pace.

​

Sessions include arts and crafts, games, social and community activities, movement and sport, all guided by the girls’ interests. The program supports connection, self-expression, emotional regulation, and confidence—without pressure to mask or “fit in”.

When: Mondays- 16 February-30 March (4.30pm-6.00pm)

Where: Currambine Community Centre, Currambine

Cost: $570pp- for 6 week program (NDIS plan managed or self managed plans )
